For decades, India has been the world’s favourite destination for outsourcing. According to Deloitte, establishing shared services with India was still the first choice for industries ranging from consumer products and financial services to energy, telcos, media and entertainment.
According to the Indian Brand Equity Foundation, the US accounts for the lion's share of India’s IT outsourcing revenue – a whopping 62 percent.
Also, India’s digitally skilled pool has grown over the period and accounted for around 75 percent of global digital talent.
What does this mean for you?
- You can attract international companies, SMEs and startups as your clients, who hire you for part-time or full-time projects
- You can get jobs in high-potential startups in Silicon Valley remotely
- You can build a solid network with non-technical founders in the US, UK, Dubai and other countries and become their technical cofounder
- AI has made it easier for Indian techies to work remotely. There are non-technical business growth-related jobs that are exploding but many are missing out on this incredible opportunity because they feel any job related to AI must require massive specialised technical skills - which is incorrect

You don’t need a fancy IIT/ IIM/ Ivy League MBA tag to get remote jobs and earn 5-10x what you earn in India.
We are living through a remote work revolution right now. With remote work and freelancing becoming the norm, more and more employers in the world’s developed economies are realising the benefits of outsourcing work to people who can work from home, often in another country altogether without worrying about borders or visas.
The benefit for employers is that these remote workers cost far less than workers from their own countries, and yet deliver the same, or better, quality of work.
India is a popular destination for recruiters to hire the best talent globally. The reason is simple, India is home to over 5 million Java and Python developers, 1.3 million Android developers, and over 800,000 iOS developers. The data shows India is set to dominate the worldwide IT sector with its highly qualified workforce.
The demand for Indian developers across the world is at its highest today. All Indians are very proud of IT professionals because they are earning more foreign exchange to the country by exporting software services as opposed to what the entire country pays for importing petroleum!
We now want to extend similar opportunities to you, on an international level.
SkillArbitrage team has always been a believer in the concept of remote work, and we have been following the work-from-home model from the very beginning, even before the pandemic.
For people who already have a certain level of technical skills and want to know how to get more value from it, and how to earn more money from it in the international market and earn in dollars, we can show you how to do that.
We have helped many non-technical professionals get international remote jobs and freelance work and realised that many technical people with amazing skills are not living their best lives or having their best careers just because they do not have the right sales and marketing skills. They are not being taught where the opportunities are and how they can grab them. It is time to change that!
- You can work remotely for foreign clients, especially in the US, UK, Canada, Singapore, Europe, Dubai and other countries
- You don’t have to leave your current job. Pick up some side gigs in your area of expertise to do on weekends and free time, and double your income first!
- You can take on more complex projects and charge more as competition is lower, yet be very cost-effective in comparison to developers from the US
- Other Indian developers cannot compete with you because they do not have similar skill sets around business development, corporate communications and personal branding to outshine you
- Your likelihood of successful project delivery increases, and your track record outshines that of others by a mile
- Clients are satisfied and willing to give you more work and testimonials, pay you a premium and even recommend you to other potential clients
- Some of you may get remote jobs and co-founder opportunities with US startups and eventually migrate abroad!

Here is some interesting data to go over

The US tech industry was at a market value of USD 1.8 trillion by the end of 2022

At least 3.97 million tech jobs are available in the US as of 2022

Due to the pandemic, the IT sector increased remote work by up to 58.9 percent

65 percent of the US-based tech companies said that they plan to increase their global remote working work force

According to Statista, around 1.14 million people were employed across the IT sector in 2021. Sectors like cloud computing, big data storage and collection, and information security technologies resulted in a large demand for IT professionals

The average income for a tech industry professional across the US is USD 71,809. That’s roughly USD 20,000 more per year than the average American salary, which is USD 51,480 yearly. Even those starting out in the tech industry make an average of USD 53,000, still more than the average American salary

The three tech sectors that are currently growing the fastest are Blockchain DeFi (CAGR through 2025 is 67.3 percent), AI (CAGR is 40.2 percent), Virtual Reality/ Augmented Reality (AR/VR) (CAGR is a massive 100 percent)

IT employment exceeded three million people starting April 2022 and peaked at nearly 3.12 million employees as of January 2023. Moreover, by 2032, US tech employment is forecast to surpass 6.1 million people

India’s gig economy is expected to nearly triple from 7.7 million people in 2021 to 23.5 million by 2029-30, according to a report by NITI Aayog
Common problems faced by Indian developers even when they have superior technical skills:
- Many developers do not ask questions owing to a fear of public speaking
- Many of them do not say no, and fail to push back on unreasonable expectations of clients or seniors
- Poor communication skills - many can’t find the right words or frame the right arguments when they speak
- They are not good at selling themselves
- They are anxious about making language mistakes, which makes them appear under-confident
- They don’t know how to pitch ideas effectively, and don’t understand how to run a business
In reality, the demand for Indian developers worldwide is at its highest today.
