Register for our free and online bootcamp to learn some incredible English communication skills to help you to unlock opportunities that may seem beyond your reach right now.

English is the language of science, technology, and computers. It is time you mastered it. Given that you have mastered much more complicated technical languages already, this will be easy for you. It just requires some dedicated effort and proper guidance, that is all.

Here’s some data to give you a better idea?

  • According to a University of Cambridge survey, 5,300 employers from 38 countries discovered that English is crucial everywhere around the world. Even in countries where English is not the official language, more than two-thirds of employers think English is crucial for their business
  • It is an official language in 53 countries and for over 400 million people
  • English is the language of international communication, media, and the internet. Knowledge of English communication is therefore essential for your growth as an IT professional
  • According to Bloomberg, a software and media business company contacted over 1200 recruiters and asked them if non-technical talents are in demand for IT workers. More than 50 percent stated that effective communication skills are crucial.
  • According to a Forbes article, technology professionals who want to become more effective at their jobs and advance their careers should think about taking a step not often considered by many of their peers: enrol in communications training

As an IT professional, what are the areas where you need to use English the most?

Most IT-based businesses deal with clients located all over the globe, and the majority use English as their medium of communication. As an IT professional, you may have to visit clients in different offsite locations, where a useful conversation is possible only in English

Software descriptions, user interface, and manuals are all written in technical English for a global customer base. Even in internal functioning, teams use English as a language for reports, requirement analysis, client proposals, presentations, and reviews. No matter how much technical knowledge you have, not being able to communicate it correctly, without grammatical errors and spelling mistakes will hold you back in your career.

In order to grow, you will need to make presentations to clients, negotiate with senior management and colleagues, and perform other management functions. All of which will require competency in English. Even if you convey your ideas correctly, hesitation while speaking, or taking too long to find the right words, will all create a negative impression about you.

What if you have to appear for a very important job interview? Remember that you will be tested not just on your technical skills, but also on your communication skills. You may be able to bag a job, but poor communication skills will reflect on the package you are offered and the opportunities for promotions you get later.

These days, an increasing number of multinational companies are officially declaring English as the common business language. You will not be eligible to even apply to these companies if you lack English communication skills. It is possible to get entry level coding jobs in India or even mid level technical jobs without much English skills, but if you do not develop English skills after that, global opportunities and senior management roles will be outside your reach.

Following the Covid pandemic, many IT professionals are either doing part-time or full-time freelance work. In order to work as a freelancer and connect with international clients, you must be proficient in English and have strong English communication skills.

Why are you afraid to use English?

  • Conscious of your accent and feel that people will not understand what you say?
  • Afraid that you will not be able to communicate what is actually on your mind because your vocabulary is not strong enough?
  • Afraid of making grammatical mistakes?
  • Nervous that your pronunciation is poor and may sound funny to most people?
Join our bootcamp to understand why these factors should not hold you back!
