10 superhero women working remotely

We come across two types of women who want to work remotely from home.

Some of them want to earn more, be successful in their career, and want to work remotely. They have the support of their family, which makes it very easy.

Then there are others who want to have financial independence desperately because they do not have support from their family. It is a question of either survival or dignity for them.

We love helping all our learners, but we have a soft corner for those who are struggling due to lack of family support.

How can we help them?

Most of them get stuck with finance. Some get stuck with time. First, we started offering them interest free loans through our third-party finance partners. This helped a lot of people to pursue our courses and become financially independent. After all, we can help them to get work that can help them to easily pay their EMI.

We thought this would make our courses available to all women. But that did not happen.

Often, some women do not have their own credit ratings, they could not get a loan sanctioned. We were told by some that they do not even have an active bank account.

How do we help them?

It’s very sad.

We can help them to earn by providing them work. Most of them are able to earn back the course fees within months. However, we cannot offer our courses for free. In that case it is impossible to provide the services we provide at scale!

We tried to let the learners pay us after they started earning. Didn’t work. Can you guess why? Very few people actually pay once the service is received and they get their outcome.

This is why all the companies that pioneered income sharing agreements failed in India.

This is the hard reality of the world. Why should I pay you later if I already got what I wanted?

We are not a debt collection company, we cannot chase learners for timely EMI payments.

So it remains an unresolved problem for us.

We have reduced the hurdle a lot, now it looks like this:

  1. You should be able to spend 2 hrs per day on the course curriculum, exercises, outreach activities
  2. You should be able to either pay the course fee upfront or be able to get a loan from a finance company (interest free) based on your credit score, or at least get a friend or family to be a co-borrower
  3. If you can do that much, we can support you with the rest. We can help you by connecting you with freelance work opportunities or part time jobs so that you can earn your course fee back fast and pay back your loan in no time.

We created a dedicated team that assists our learners to find low skill and no skill freelance projects which do not require any prior professional skill sets.

It can take our learners 2-3 months to learn professional level skill sets and crack their first few projects and start earning from the skills that they are learning in the courses.

How can they finance their EMIs until this period?

If our learners are willing to invest just a couple of hours per day, our own team is able to share opportunities with them.

These opportunities could be around data entry, proof-reading, research, blogging, translation, social media posting, or other assignments that do not require any professional skill sets.

Every month our team assists approx. 400-500 learners to secure such low-skilled or no-skilled assignments so that they can pay their EMIs while they are learning professional skill sets from us.
